CHANGE OF PERSPECTIVE
A 30-minute fictional short film and a 60-minute documentary film about violence in the football environment.
Students of the Paul-Ehrlich-Berufskolleg Dortmund, in cooperation with the partners of the film project
“Perspective Change” – Police Headquatiers Dortmund, BVB Learning Center have taken up the topic of
“Violence in the Environment of Football”.
The documentary first examines the discussion surrounding the topic of “Violence in the Football Environment”.
The participants explored the causes of escalations at soccer matches. The film provides insights into different
perspectives of the two protagonists, which police chief Gregor Lange described as very close to reality.
The project was funded by the German Football League – PFiFF (Pool for the Promotion of Innovative Football and Fan Culture)
and was carried out and successfully implemented in cooperation with the Paul-Ehrlich-Berufskolleg Dortmund, the BVB Lernzentrum
(Fan-Projekt Dortmund e.V.) and the Dortmund police headquarters.

SchülerInnen des Paul-Ehrlich-Berufskollegs Dortmund haben in Zusammenarbeit mit den Kooperationspartnern –
Polizei Dortmund und BVB Lernzentrum – des Filmprojektes „Perspektivwechsel“ das Thema „Gewalt im Umfeld des Fußballs“ aufgegriffen.
Die Dokumentation beleuchtet zunächst die Diskussion um das Thema “Gewalt im Umfeld des Fußballs”.
Die Teilnehmer*innen ergründen Ursachen für die Eskalationen bei Fußballspielen. Der Film vermittelt Einblicke in unterschiedliche
Perspektiven der zwei ProtagonistInnen, die der Polizeipräsident Gregor Lange als sehr realitätsnah bezeichnete.
Das Projekt wurde durch die Deutsche Fußball Liga – PFiFF (Pool zur Förderung innovativer Fußball- und Fankultur) gefördert und in Zusammenarbeit
mit dem Paul-Ehrlich-Berufskolleg Dortmund, dem BVB Lernzentrum (Fan-Projekt Dortmund e.V.) sowie dem Polizeipräsidium Dortmund durchgeführt
und erfolgreich umgesetzt.
